HODC PSH
Public Housing and PBRA residents pay 30% of their income and HACC subsidizes the rest.
HODC PSH is permanent supportive housing for people with disabilities. To be eligible, the head, co-head, or spouse must have a verifiable disability. Residents of HODC PSH properties are required to pay 30% of their income towards rent while the HACC subsidizes the remainder.
HODC PSH consists of the following locations:
1. Axley Place – 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units located at 3235 Milwaukee Ave. in Glenview
2. Hearts Place – 1 and 2-bedroom units located at 120 E. Boeger Dr. in Arlington Heights
3. Spruce Village – studio and 1-bedroom units located at 560 Spruce Dr. in Palatine
4. Scattered Site – 1 and 2-bedroom units located throughout Skokie and Evanston
Applicants on the wait list may be processed for any location, based on unit availability. Maximum income and occupancy limits apply. Income cannot exceed 50% of the area median income (AMI) per number of people in the household. Occupancy is restricted to 2 people per bedroom. Applicants currently on the HACC’s Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program wait list will receive a preference over other applicants.

The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program provides rental assistance to help low income persons afford decent and safe rental housing. HCV Programs are funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and administered by public housing agencies throughout the country. The Housing Authority of Cook County (the HACC) is the housing agency that administers an HCV Program in Suburban Cook County.
